Who Are We? We are Jay and Laurie Sue Bakay, of Hewitt NJ.
Our story is common in the alpaca community. Being attracted to the beautiful yarn my sister was using we started surfing the net, a lot. After almost a year of browsing sites and going to shearing day and alpaca festivals and farm visits some decisions were made. Jay wasn't totally sold on the idea but supported me, Laurie, and told me to go ahead and get one, so we bought four. Shortly after that my sister, Judy, bought one also.
When not working for our kitchen and bath cabinetry business, Astorloid, Inc., or Paws In Harmony, which offers support modalities that complement dog training, or promoting products and the unique business of www.EverythingOnlineNow.com I can be found at RipTide Farms Alpacas, just sitting in the pasture observing them or training the young alpacas or introducing them to obstacles. Jay has produced a wonderful bridge and teeter for them to train on.
Jay has become extremely devoted to planning the barn and pasture layout. He can be found roaming around at alpaca shows asking questions and gathering all the information he can from the valuable experiences of others and regularly going to Bear Creek to oversee the progress there and talk to local alpaca breeders in the area.
Why Visit This Site? www.crystalglenalpacas.com has been designed by BreedWorks and will present a huge amount of information that will be helpful to those of you who are just starting to browse as well as experienced breeders. The Crystal Glen Alpacas animals are not only excellent in quality but of extraordinary temperament. There will be much offered on training and handling these magnificent gentle creatures as well as announcements of upcoming events and special offerings.
